EMDR Consultation
for Therapists

Practical consultation for therapists who want
confidence, clarity, and continued growth.

Hands gently holding a card with the message, “Everything you need to get it done is already inside of you,” against a floral dress background.

EMDR consultation is about so much more than collecting hours for certification.

It's an opportunity to strengthen your skills, deepen your understanding of the EMDR model, and build confidence in your clinical decision making.

Whether you're newly trained, working toward certification, pursuing Consultant-in-Training status, or looking for support with complex cases, consultation provides a space to ask questions, explore stuck points, and continue growing as a clinician.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in real clinical work. Together we'll strengthen your case conceptualization, explore challenges as they arise, and help you feel more confident in the therapy room.

My Approach to Consultation

I believe some of the best learning happens when therapists have a space to be curious, ask questions, and think through cases without fear of judgment.

Consultation is not about having all the answers. It's about developing the confidence to navigate the moments when the answer isn't immediately clear.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to where you are in your EMDR journey. Whether you're refining foundational skills, working toward certification, or navigating complex clinical presentations, consultation is designed to support both your professional growth and your confidence as a clinician.

My goal is to help you strengthen your understanding of the EMDR model, trust your clinical judgment, and feel more confident adapting EMDR to the unique needs of the clients you serve.

Individual consultation is available for therapists seeking support with case conceptualization, certification requirements, complex cases, or ongoing professional growth.

Whether you're looking for a one-time consultation or ongoing support, individual consultation provides a personalized space to strengthen your skills and confidence as an EMDR therapist.

What it’s like working with me

I don't want you memorizing a script or performing a protocol.

I want you learning how to think critically, trust your clinical judgment, and understand the why behind what you're doing.

We'll talk through the hard cases, celebrate the wins, and make sense of the moments that leave you questioning yourself.

I'll challenge you when growth is needed and support you when things feel overwhelming.

You'll leave with practical feedback, a stronger understanding of the EMDR model, and more confidence in your ability to adapt the work to the client in front of you.

Because great EMDR therapy isn't about perfectly following a script.

It's about learning how to respond to the person sitting across from you.

  • "Your directness and the clarity you gave when my mind and thoughts were jumbled was invaluable. I felt so comfortable coming to consultation with my list of random questions to help my brain piece everything today and you did exactly that so thank you"

  • "I feel more confident and competent in using EMDR therapy, which allows me to be more present and attuned to my clients throughout the process.Certification has also strengthened my ability to integrate EMDR with other therapeutic approaches, giving me more flexibility in meeting my clients’ unique needs."

  • “Kayla had clear explanations, practical examples, and thoughtful feedback made it easier to integrate EMDR protocols into my clinical work with confidence.”

  • “ She created a safe learning environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and bringing forward challenging case”

My Areas of Interest

These are the places I love to dive in during consultation.

The patterns I see. The things I could talk about all day.

Neurodivergent (especially ADHD)

Understanding how ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence show up in trauma, processing speed, and resourcing. Learning how to adapt EMDR without overwhelming the nervous system.

Recent Critical Events

Using EMDR for acute stress and post critical incident work. Helping therapists learn how to stabilize and process recent events in a grounded and effective way.

Intensives

Supporting clinicians who are building or refining their own EMDR intensive models. Exploring structure, pacing, ethics, and post intensive follow up.

Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and Family of Origin Trauma

Looking at how early chaos and dysfunction shape attachment, core beliefs, and relational patterns in both clients and therapists.

Somatic Integration

Looking at how early chaos and dysfunction shape attachment, core beliefs, and relational patterns in both clients and therapists.
