EMDR Consultation for Therapists
Real consultation for real therapists
You don’t need another consultant who talks at you.
You need someone who helps you build confidence and learn how to trust what you already know.
I’m an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Trainer who keeps it real.
We talk about your clients, your fears, your style, and your instincts.
Let’s be honest
You don’t need another consultant who talks over you or makes you question if you’re doing EMDR “right.”
You need someone who gets it.
Someone who’s sat in the same seat and knows what it’s like to wonder if you’re enough.
I’m an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and EMDRIA Trainer who believes in keeping things real. We’ll talk about your clients, your nervous system, your instincts, and the moments that make you doubt yourself.
You’ll leave every session feeling grounded, clearer, and a little more like yourself again.
What it’s like working with me
I don’t want you memorizing a script or performing a protocol.
want you learning how to listen to the client, your gut, and the process at the same time.
I’ll push you when it’s needed and hold space when it’s too much.
We’ll celebrate your wins, unpack the hard sessions, and laugh in between.
It’s consultation, but it’s also a space to come back to yourself as a therapist.
“Kayla had clear explanations, practical examples, and thoughtful feedback made it easier to integrate EMDR protocols into my clinical work with confidence.”
“ She created a safe learning environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and bringing forward challenging case”
Who this is for
Therapists who are just starting EMDR training and want real support
Therapists working toward EMDRIA Certification
Therapists who are already certified but want more confidence, clarity, and community
Therapists who blend EMDR with somatic or experiential work
Therapists who are neurodivergent, especially ADHD, and want consultation that actually works with their brain
Therapists who don’t fit the mold and are done pretending they do
My Areas of Interest
These are the places I love to dive in during consultation.
The patterns I see. The things I could talk about all day.
Neurodivergent (especially ADHD)
Understanding how ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence show up in trauma, processing speed, and resourcing. Learning how to adapt EMDR without overwhelming the nervous system.
Recent Critical Events
Using EMDR for acute stress and post critical incident work. Helping therapists learn how to stabilize and process recent events in a grounded and effective way.
Intensives
Supporting clinicians who are building or refining their own EMDR intensive models. Exploring structure, pacing, ethics, and post intensive follow up.
Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and Family of Origin Trauma
Looking at how early chaos and dysfunction shape attachment, core beliefs, and relational patterns in both clients and therapists.
Somatic Integration
Looking at how early chaos and dysfunction shape attachment, core beliefs, and relational patterns in both clients and therapists.

Meet your consultant
Hi! I’m Kayla! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDIRA Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDRIA Trainer. Currently, I work as a Trainer for Basic EMDR Training at Thrive EMDR Training and provide EMDR Basic Consultation for Thrive's trainees. Having accumulated over 2000 hours of EMDR therapy and conducted more than 300 hours of EMDR consultation for therapists, and these numbers are growing weekly.
My passion lies in helping therapists boost their confidence with EMDR therapy and seamlessly integrate it into their practice. I often remind fellow EMDR therapists that while EMDR is a powerful therapy modality, finding the right match with your unique therapeutic style is the key to genuinely relishing its transformative effects.
